The spiritual enthusiasm at Ayodhya’s freshly inaugurated Ram temple has reached unparalleled heights, recalling the holy times of the ‘Treta Yug.’ As devotees throng the temple town seeking the blessings of the recently consecrated Ram Lalla idol, the chief priest, Acharya Satyendra Das, warns that not every devotee may be able to witness the holy ‘darshan’ due to the enormous crowds.

Ayodhya’s Time Travel: According to Acharya Satyendra Das, the atmosphere in Ayodhya seemed to have traveled back to the beautiful ‘Treta Yug,’ when Lord Ram visited the city with his divine presence. The echoes of ‘Jai Shree Ram’ ring through the air, and the temple town has resurfaced with the same zeal that marked ancient times.

Unprecedented Crowds: The Ram temple’s doors opened to the public on Tuesday, marking a historic occasion following the consecration of the new Ram Lalla statue. However, Acharya Satyendra Das is skeptical that everyone can have a ‘darshan’ amidst the sea of followers. The top priest owes the large attendance to the participation of 4,000 saints and priests from around the country, each accompanied by a group of devotees who added to the audience.

Ayodhya, the Divine Haven: Acharya Satyendra Das describes Ayodhya as ‘Rammay,’ creating a vivid image of the sublime and lovely city. The grandeur of the decked temple, along with the infectious joy of the pilgrims, makes Ayodhya a marvel to see. The top priest highlights the heavenly aspect of the city and temple, drawing comparisons to the joyful atmosphere after Lord Ram’s return in Treta Yug.

Satyendra Das shares insights into temple ceremonies, including the morning aarti at 6:30 a.m. He acknowledges the necessity for a new system for aarti and bhog in the coming days. Devotees have been queuing since 6:30 a.m. for ‘darshan’ of the newly consecrated statue, highlighting the believers’ fervent joy.

Overnight Devotee Gathering: Devotees gathered the night before the public opening, including locals and foreigners from many states, eager to enter the temple as soon as possible. The police, anticipating the large gathering, informed devotees that access would be permitted only when the temple opened its doors to the public in the morning.

As Ayodhya basks in the divine aura of the newly consecrated Ram temple, the devotees’ joy and devotion appear to have transcended time. While not every worshipper will be able to observe the ‘darshan’ instantly, the spiritual energy and grandeur of the temple make this visit a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for those who are fortunate enough to be present at this historic moment. Jai Shree Ram!
